My name is Tom Willner, and I thank you for visiting turningthirty.org. This site is dedicated to everyone who is going through or has gone through an experience with cancer. Several years ago I had cancer, and being a musician, I wrote songs about the experience. This was both a way for me to cope with it, as well as a way to share my experience with others and hopefully help them with their own experience.
On turningthirty.org you will find:
- My Story - the real story behind the music and the musical
- CDs and downloads - I have my music available here, both the music of Turning Thirty, which was written and recorded by me as I was dealing with cancer, as well as other music I have written and recorded since. Since cancer was such a defining experience for me, and has changed my perspective so much, all of my music reflects my experience.
- The Musical - The songs of Turning Thirty are part of a larger project that is a full musical show. I worked with a good friend who is very knowledgeable in theater to help write the book to the show.
- Contact - I'd love to hear from you! If you are dealing with cancer and have questions of comments, or if you are a musician who has dealt with cancer, please send me a message. Also, if you are interested in hosting a house concert, or have a fundraising show where you'd like me to perform, please use that form as well.
